Tinctures are concentrated herbal extracts which are made by soaking either the bark, berries, leaves (dried or fresh), or roots of one or more plants in alcohol. This traditional medicine can be traced as far back to Egypt (Kemet). The alcohol extracts out the active ingredients in the plant parts, concentrating them as a liquid. The liquid is then taken in drops which you place under the tongue for fast absorption.
